The Ideal City for Teen Founders

Dubai's startup ecosystem, global connectivity, and innovation-first culture make it one of the best places in the world for young people to start building.

A Global Startup Capital

Dubai is home to DIFC Innovation Hub, Hub71, and a thriving startup community. Students here are surrounded by entrepreneurial energy — from tech accelerators to government-backed innovation programmes.

Your College Application Edge

Top US and UK universities want to see initiative, not just grades. Launching a real startup with users gives you an authentic story that stands out — far more than another club presidency or hackathon certificate.

Real Mentors Who've Built

Mentored by real founders and mentors from Harvard, IIT Bombay, NYU, Stripe, and Zoho. Curriculum reviewed by academic mentors at Harvard Business School and IIT Bombay.

Built for UAE Students

Designed for students in IB, IGCSE, and CBSE curricula across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. The programme fits around your academic schedule — even during exam season.

No Idea? No Problem.

Half our students start with no idea at all. Our structured exercises help you discover a real problem to solve in the first two days. You don't need to code either — we use no-code tools.

Go Beyond the Classroom

While others write essays about entrepreneurship, you'll have a launched product with real users, a founder title on your résumé, and potential mentor recommendations from people who've actually built companies.

The StarterSky Lab Program

From idea to launched startup in 3–6 months

Three phases. One real startup. Mentored by real founders and mentors who have actually built.

Phase 1: Build · Intensive Over 2 Weekends

Launch Your First Startup: An intensive cohort spread over two weekends (April 3–5 and April 10–12), where you go from zero to a live product. No coding required.

  • Brainstorm to come up with an idea

  • Validate your idea by talking to real customers

  • Build your MVP using no-code tools

  • Launch your product to real users

  • Present your pitch on Demo Day

Outcome: Your first live product, real user feedback, and confidence to call yourself a founder.

Phase 2: Grow · Months 2–4 Online

Get Traction & Global Recognition: One-on-one mentorship, group calls, and accountability pods to help you grow what you've built and apply to global competitions.

  • Strengthen your MVP based on real-world usage

  • Apply to elite global competitions — Diamond Challenge, WSI and more

  • Refine your business model and pitch

  • Execute your idea further with mentor guidance

Outcome: Traction, global competition applications, and momentum.

Phase 3: Accelerate · Months 5–6

Experience a Real Startup: A curated micro-internship at an early-stage startup — typically during summer or winter break, online.

  • Work at a startup for 4 weeks

  • Learn how founders operate under pressure

  • Discover if you're a founder, a builder, or both

Outcome: A résumé-worthy internship, recommendation letter, and clarity on your next chapter.

What You Walk Away With

While others make business plans, you'll have a live startup.

Launched Startup: A live website with real users — not a slide deck

✔ Competition Support: Applications to national & global startup competitions

✔ Startup Internship: 4-week experience at a real early-stage startup

✔ Founder Title: On your résumé and LinkedIn profile

✔ Recommendations: From your mentors, if they think you are worthy

✔ College Edge: A standout profile with authentic stories for admissions interviews

Testimonials

The Startersky Lab program was an excellent experience, and helped me achieve what I thought was impossible - starting a business. Despite my fear that I would not be able to come up with an idea, their thought out exercises and facilitators made it much easier than I expected. They gave continuous feedback throughout the workshop, and helped me create a prototype and connect with NGOs too.

The entire StarterSky journey was a great experience, from when we came (without even a definite idea) to actually launching it. It helped me in various ways as I developed new skills throughout the program and I really enjoyed the full process. I would definitely recommend joining the program, as it was really helpful and different from anything I've done before.

Before the StarterSky program, I had an idea based on observation and theory. After the program, I have an idea that's been validated through real market research and direct conversations with potential customers. The program’s hands-on approach was a game-changer. It pushes you to move beyond 'bookish stuff' and gain the tangible experience necessary to build a real venture. For a student founder, it’s like a mini-MBA that provides the practical toolkit you need to confidently take the next steps. I highly recommend it to any aspiring entrepreneur who wants to turn their concept into a validated business.

FAQs

  1. What if I don't have a startup idea?
That's completely fine. Half of our students come in with no idea and discover a problem to solve on the first day or two. Our structured exercises and mentors help you find a meaningful problem to work on.

  2. Do I need to know how to code?
Not at all. We use no-code tools like Figma, Loveable, and Carrd with simple drag-and-drop features. You can also use Canva, Wix, or other tools you're comfortable with.

  3. Is StarterSky Lab available in Dubai?
Yes. StarterSky runs cohorts specifically for students in Dubai and across the UAE. We run both online and offline cohorts. Book a consultation to learn about upcoming dates.

  4. How much time does the program take?
Phase 1 is an intensive programme spread over two weekends. After that, depending on each student, expect 2–4 hours per week during Phases 2 and 3.

  5. What if my startup idea doesn't work?
That's totally fine — that's what the sprint is for. The average founder pivots 2–3 times. Failing fast is a skill top universities value. Admissions officers love stories about resilience, not just success.

  6. Is there a cost to the program?
Yes. For more information including pricing, please book a consultation call with our founder. We're happy to walk you through the programme details.

  7. Do you offer personalised 1-on-1 programmes?
Yes, we do. Reach out to us at
info@startersky.com or book a consultation to discuss a programme tailored to your schedule and goals.
